Private Lessons

Learn to Sew

Do you have a future fashion designer in your home? Or maybe a kiddo who’s just fascinated with sewing and really wants to be able to sew their own iPod case or stuffed animal? Bring them to Create for a personal sewing lesson with one of our experienced needlecrafters. We can do private lessons or you can gather a small group of kids (two or more) for a semi-private sewing session. You’ll select your project ahead of time and we’ll have everything set up and ready to go! If you have your own sewing machine, please bring it along with the instruction manual; if you do not, no problem; we have five machines at CREATE!

Please contact us for pricing and projects specifics.

Learn to Knit

Call to schedule your Girl Scout Troop, Home School Class or other group (minimum of 5 students)

Create offers several options for aspiring knitters to learn the craft.

Basic Knitting 101A: This two hour single-session is $15 per knitter. Create will provide instruction and supplies to learn the very basics of knitting. Each student will knit their own bracelet or bookmark!

Basic Knitting 101B: Our 102 class is also a 2-hour single-session, but each knitter will receive their own starter knitting set, including size 8 needles and a small skein of yarn. We’ll create a knitted bracelet or bookmark in this $20 per knitter class.

Basic Knitting 201: 201 is a two-session class, each session being two hours and is $40 per knitter. Knitting 201 is still a beginner class, however, we’ll go deeper into techniques such as casting on, casting off and purling. 201 knitters will receive a starter kit of size 8 needles and a skein of yarn (please NO wool yarn) and will create a darling knit hat! This class will require homework between sessions!
