Tim Holtz

Here at our store, we've got all sorts of cool products you can use to add that "something" to your art. Tim Holtz is one of those designers with those products. If you're not familiar with him (I wasn't until I started working here), he's a big wig in the scrapbooking world & he has an entire line of inks, stamps, paper, the whole nine yards.
But what makes his stuff so amazing is his perspective. He combines a little vintage and a little grunge with a bit of fun to make products that trigger a memory and make you smile.
Take his Tecture Fades.
These are used with the Sizzix machine (don't have one? Come use ours!) and create an embossed effect. Never used a Sizzix machine before? Never fear, it's easy peasy. (Trust me. Even if you've never scrapbooked a day in your life, you can walk in the store & master the Sizzix machine!) He's got designs of tree bark, bingo cards, rays, dots, all sorts of themes that can be used as the basis for cards, tags, a bit of art journaling or in a mixed media canvas piece.
He also has these great stamps!
I love his quotes, the birds and the whimsical flourishes. You can use these with regular ink pads, or use his distress inks for an "aged" look.
