Lisa: Orange-a-licious Owner
Jumped in with both feet, believing we needed a place for the community to gather together. I tried to CREATE a place that is warm and welcoming, a place for family and friends to gather together. My original plan has evolved into something totally different then I could have imagined. Thank goodness for my wonderful, Creative Thrill Seeking Manager!!! Together we have tried to adapt to what comes in the door and role with it. We have learned soooo many things we had no idea how to do and have grown so much as business women and friends.
I have always been a crafter at heart. I learned to sew at a very young age while watching my grandma & aunt sew everything. My Barbies were always quite well dressed and had the best sleeping bags. Later I continued learning to sew in school and at home. I still have and use my first sewing machine my parents bought me in high school.
A graduate of UNK when it was still Kearney State College with a BS in Fashion Merchandising and an emphasis in Business. Worked my way from department manager to district manager in the retail world. Lived in Tulsa, OK for 6 years where our first child, Dakota was born. Moved back to NE where our 2nd child, Samuel was born.
Children led me to playdates, a great love of the zoo, too much time at Burger King and a lover of smile people’s smiles and hugs! Next came the PTO, open mouth and volunteer. Next thing I knew I was learning to ask for donations, how to run a major event and how to make a difference in my children’s education.
